Unit burglarized: James C. Massey of Allison told state police his storage unit at 113 Chestnut St., Beallsville, was burglarized between May and June. Stolen were chain saws, a weed trimmer and welding equipment. The stolen items were valued at $2,800.
Club cited: The operators of the American-German Association of Canonsburg, 10 S. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg, were cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allowing gambling or gambling devices June 12.
Vehicle entered: Kodi Hartzog of 603 S. Central Ave. told Canonsburg police three pairs of sunglasses, compact discs and a pair of flip-flops were stolen from her vehicle Monday.
Two charged: Tracy Murr of 165 Moon Road, Washington, and Luann Phillips of 123 Broadmore Road, Washington, will be charged by state police with harassment stemming from a disturbance Monday at 860 Henderson Ave., Canton.
Trespass charges: Tso Calloway, 20, and Nicole Lynn Hairston, 32, both of whom have no known address, were arrested Monday by Charleroi Regional police on a charge of defiant trespass after police say they were found squatting in an apartment at 213 Fifth St. They were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $500 bonds.
Trespass, mischief charges: Robert Duane Wingard III, 40, of Kittanning, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained by Chartiers police on charges of criminal trespass and criminal mischief. He is accused of kicking in a door at 210 Seik Road June 28 and entering the garage. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Driver injured: Donald Lucas, 70, of Moundsville, W.Va., was injured Sunday afternoon when his eastbound vehicle traveled out of the right lane of Interstate 70 near the West Alexander exit, Donegal, and struck another eastbound vehicle driven by Matthew A. Shane, 49, of Pittsburgh, state police said. Lucas, who will be cited for failing to stay in his lane, was taken to Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital for treatment.
One injured: Audrey Wall, 80, of Fair meadow Drive, Chartiers Township, injured her hand Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on West Chestnut Street near the entrance to Washington Crown Center, North Franklin police said. The other drivers were identified as Jamie Allison, 24, of Wilbert Avenue, South Strabane Township, and Margaret Ritter of Findlay Street, Canton Township.
Tires slashed: Tires on vehicles owned by Daniel and Douglas Ward, 46 Milbeck Drive, were slashed by vandals Saturday, North Franklin police said.
Man threatens to jump: North Strabane police were called Monday afternoon to the Canon Mac Alumni Bridge that takes Boone Avenue over Interstate 79 for a report of a man hanging off the bridge. When police arrived, the 31-year-old Canonsburg man was standing on the concrete wall along the walkway. He complied with a request by police to step off the wall. He was taken to Washington Hospital for an evaluation.
Head-on crash: North Strabane police were called just before 9 p.m. Monday for a report of a head-on crash on Galley Road near Route 19. Police said Miranda Levers, 23, of 830 Ewing St., Washington, was driving on Galley when she crossed the center line around a bend and struck a sport utility vehicle driven by Charles Terpin Jr., 65, of 880 Thomas-Eighty Four Road, Eighty Four. Levers, Terpin and a passenger in the vehicle driven by Terpin, Subramoni Jayakumar, 70, of 350 Cedar Lane, Washington, refused treatment. Levers was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, where police say blood was drawn to determine if she was under the influence.
Drug arrest: Robert Henry Tolliver, 49, of 52 Sumner Ave., Washington, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained by North Strabane police on charges of possession of crack and paraphernalia. He is accused of having the items during a June 13 traffic stop on Route 19. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Debris dumped: Brian Kaercher, 30, of Washington, will be charged by state police with scattering rubbish after police say he was seen dumping debris from a dump truck on property owned by the state Department of Transportation off Interstate 79 near the Houston/Eighty Four exit in North Strabane.
Theft arrest: Corey James Talley, 38, of 675 Henderson Ave., Washington, was arrested Saturday on a warrant obtained by state police on a charge of felony retail theft. He is accused of stealing two bags of shrimp and two bags of coleslaw from Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, June 3. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.
Gun stolen: A gun owned by Russell Johnson of Monongahela was reported stolen Monday from a vehicle owned by J&A Service of Eighty Four while the vehicle was at Washington Chevrolet, Raymond Boulevard, South Strabane police said.
Woman faces charges: Rachel N. Kint, 26, of 163 Garden St., Canonsburg, will be charged by South Strabane police with theft by deception and parking in a handicap spot. She is accused of removing a comforter from a shelf at Walmart, Trinity Point, on Monday and then returning it for a $51.94 gift card.
Money reported stolen: Rachel Whipkey of 448 N. Main St. told Washington police early Tuesday that $300 was stolen from her dresser.
Concrete saw stolen: A concrete saw owned by McVehil’s Plumbing, East Wheeling Street, was reported stolen Monday from the 10 block of Highland Avenue. A man was seen getting out of a gold Chevrolet Malibu and putting the saw in the car, Washington police said.
Business burglarized: An employee of Safelite, 859 Jefferson Ave., told Washington police Monday that a flat-screen television/DVD combination, small safe and cellphones were stolen in a burglary of the business.
