MCKEES ROCKS (AP) – Police have been searching for an armed suspect who is charged with threatening a woman and holding another man against his will in a barricaded western Pennsylvania home.

McKees Rocks police have charged 54-year-old Paul Dolan with unlawful restraint, making terroristic threats and other crimes during the standoff which began about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and ended about 5 a.m. Wednesday.

That’s when police forced their way into the boarded up home, only to find Dolan had left.

Before that, police say Dolan threatened to kill a woman who called 911, then forced another man in the home to stay in the basement.

Police say Dolan left the man in the basement, and broke out lightbulbs to keep it dark as he left that part of the house.

Police believe he has a shotgun.
