Vehicle overturns in Route 19 wreck
A Canonsburg woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 19 north near Weavertown Road in North Strabane Township just before noon Wednesday. Township police said Renate Emmenegger, 73, was driving in the right lane. A vehicle driven by Roy Barkand, 68, of McDonald, had slowed in front of her for the traffic signal, and her vehicle hit the back of his vehicle and flipped on its roof. Emmenegger was taken to Canonsburg Hospital. Barkand refused treatment at the scene. North Strabane firefighters assisted.
