Retail theft: Denzell Darshai Johnson, 18, of Donora, was charged with retail theft by California police after allegedly taking a shirt from a package and putting it on at Dollar General, Wood Street, then leaving the store Sunday. The charge will proceed by summons.

Trespass, harassment charges: David Gatling, 23, of 412 Blaine Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged with defiant trespass, criminal mischief and harassment for allegedly entering the home of Stephanie Weber, 407 Duquesne Ave., on Wednesday, without permission. He reportedly yelled at her and broke her iPad, police said.

Cellphone stolen: Tina Carr, of 155 Smith St., told Canonsburg police Wednesday that her home was entered Monday and a cellphone was stolen. She told police that the burglar removed a window air conditioning unit to enter the home.

Air conditioner stolen: Austin Anderson told Canonsburg police Tuesday that a window air conditioning unit was stolen from his apartment at 203 Murdock St.

Marijuana arrest: Louis J. Foti, 41, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was arrested by state police Wednesday afternoon on a charge of possession of marijuana after troopers received a complaint about a man and dog lying next to Interstate 70 near the Claysville rest area, Donegal. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released after posting $15 bond.

Credit card used: Shane Hebb, 326 Coal St., McDonald, told McDonald police Monday his credit card without his authorization was used to make $344 in purchases in California and Nevada in May and early June.

Mischief charge: Kyle J. Kapustik, 32, of Springdale, Allegheny County, was charged this week by state police at The Meadows Casino, Racetrack Road, North Strabane, with criminal mischief. He is accused of punching a slot machine when he reportedly got mad while playing it on May 5, police said. He agreed to pay for the $1,141 in damages within two months but never did, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charge: Kimberly Hancock, 31, of 285 Moon Road, Washington, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a theft charge after she allegedly stole more than $6,000 from Ruff Creek Markets, 3841 Washington Road, Peters Township, in May, township police said. Hancock was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Assault report: Seneca E. Harris, 34, of 109 Gibson Ave., Washington, was charged by city police with simple assault, accused of striking a woman in the nose in his residence about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
