The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold a plans display of the preliminary design for improvements to the Route 519 corridor between the Route 19 southbound ramp intersections and the two Interstate 79 ramp intersections from 5 to 7 p.m. July 29 at the North Strabane Township building.

Improvements to Route 519 will include pavement widening to accommodate a center, two-way left turn lane, horizontal and vertical alignment improvements, and traffic signals at the Route 519/Route 980/Route 19 ramp intersection and at the Interstate 79 ramp intersections. Traffic signals and designated turn lanes will be constructed to provide increased safety and level of service at the intersections along with reduced congestion.

The public is welcome to attend during the scheduled meeting hours.
