LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a small plane went down in a central Pennsylvania cornfield overnight, but the two people aboard walked away from the crash.
Police in Lancaster County said the 1996 Grumman AA-5B Tiger went down in Manheim Township shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officials said the plane had just taken off from nearby Lancaster Airport.
WPMT-TV reports that the pilot and a passenger had only minor bumps and bruises, and no fluids were leaking from the aircraft.
Police said the Federal Aviation Administration is scheduled to come to the scene Monday to investigate the cause of the crash.
