Two charged: Brent E. Kovac, 19, and Kenneth E. Kessler, 49, both of Martins Ferry, Ohio, face charges stemming from a disturbance Wednesday at Sunset Beach Park, 4185 Route 40, Buffalo. State police said the two were at the park for a family party when they got into an argument. Kessler, who police said was intoxicated, reportedly punched Kovac in the head. Kovac then punched Kessler. Kessler will be charged harassment and public drunkenness. Kovac will be charged with harassment. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Bicycle found: Chartiers police are looking for the owner of a 29-inch Genesis mountain bicycle that was found Tuesday in Oak Spring Cemetery. The owner can claim the bicycle by calling 724-745-8020, extension 215, with a description.
Wires down: A moving truck driven by Frank E. Suhoney Jr., 42, of Slippery Rock, for Allegheny Valley Transfer of Pittsburgh, pulled down wires near the intersection of West Fair Meadows and Mockingbird drives Wednesday morning, North Strabane police said. He told police he was following his global positioning system and went the wrong way.
Driver charged: David Lee Waychoff, 37, of 442 Dusty Trail, Claysville, was charged Tuesday by North Strabane police with failure to render aid and leaving the scene of a crash after reportedly leaving the scene after sideswiping a vehicle on Route 19 on July 14. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft, receiving charges: Wesley W. Lassic, 38, of Tyrone, Blair County, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of stealing a television and refrigerator/microwave from a room at Motel 6, 1283 Motel 6 Drive, South Strabane. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in crash: Nikki Rae Poland, 24, of 301 W. Maiden St., Washington, was charged Thursday by state police with leaving the scene of a crash, failure to stay in the lane and careless driving stemming from a May 23 hit-and-run crash on Interstate 70 near the Beau Street exit, South Strabane. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Wallet stolen: Leisha Irwin of Canton Township told Washington police Wednesday keys to her house and vehicle were stolen from a house in the 100 block of Church Street.
Antenna stolen: Robert Byers of Grove Avenue told Washington police Wednesday a television antenna was stolen from his home.
Woman assaulted: Patrick M. Hughey, 42, of 725 Addison St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly struck Angel McDivitt, 34, of Washington, in the face during a confrontation Wednesday at 475 Jefferson Ave.
Television stolen: Daisha Brewer of Washington told Washington police Wednesday a 55-inch television was stolen from her storage locker at Joey’s Storage, 15 Wallace Lane.
