Harassment charge: Robert Lee Bissett, 30, of Aleppo, was charged by state police with harassment after he allegedly punched Melvin L. Dulaney, 73, of Aleppo, in the face four times during a confrontation Tuesday at 660 Windy Gap Road, Aleppo.
Vehicle stolen, crashed: A 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy, both from Bobtown, were injured Thursday when they crashed a stolen all-terrain vehicle they were riding on Walnut Hill Road, Dunkard, state police said. The two boys reportedly broke into the home of Carolyn Leyva of Bobtown through a basement door. They reportedly stolen a laptop computer and keys to a vehicle owned by her father, Tony Mullins of Mt. Morris. The boys then stole the vehicle which was sparked in her driveway, according to police. They were going west on Walnut Hill when the vehicle hit an embankment and rolled over. The 15-year-old was ejected through the sunroof. Neither boy wore a seat belt. They were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia for what police termed as minor injuries. Charges are pending, police said.
UTV found: State police a John Deere utility-terrain vehicle was found in a wooded area off Waterdam Road, Franklin. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.
