Man injured in motorcycle accident
A Canonsburg man was injured shortly after noon Monday in a motorcycle accident.
According to Canonsburg police Officer Thomas O’Rourke, Carl Luisi, 43, of Ridge Avenue, was traveling east on West Pike Street near Shop ‘n Save when the car in front of him slowed to avoid a dog in the road. Luisi hit his brakes, dumping his Harley-Davidson to avoid hitting the car.
Luisi was taken by medical helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. O’Rourke said Luisi may have had a broken arm but that his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. O’Rourke said the motorcycle sustained minimal damage and no other vehicles were involved. The dog apparently escaped unscathed.
