Washington police officers and detectives investigate a shooting of a man in the 600 block of Fayette Street in the city’s West End Thursday evening.

A man was shot at a home on Fayette Street in Washington just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, and city police are searching for the shooter.
According to police, the man, whose name was not released, apparently was shot while he was on a side porch of the two-story home at 630 Fayette.
Police said the victim, a black man in his 30s, was taken to Washington Hospital, but did not identify who transported him.
It was not known if the victim’s injuries were life-threatening.
