Wanted man arrested: Martiros Danielyan, 34, of Van Nuys, Calif., was taken into custody Wednesday night by Bentleyville police at the Best Western Hotel, 191 Gosai Drive, after police learned from a detective with the Laguna Beach, Calif., police department that he was wanted on a felony arrest warrant. He is wanted on charges of conspiracy, unauthorized use of identification, unauthorized computer access and fraud, forgery of legal documents, forgery of public and corporate seals, grand theft and burglary. Police in California indicated they would extradite. Danielyan was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger as a fugitive from justice and placed in Washington County jail without bond for 30 days, pending extradition.
Girl found: Mystery Abel, 17, of Washington, who was reported missing earlier this month during a visit with her mother, has been found and returned home. Canonsburg police, who took the report, said she was located by Donegal Township police.
Man arraigned: Early J. Phillips. 27, whose last known address was Miller Road, Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge David Mark on charges of forgery, access device fraud and theft. He is accused of taking his grandmother’s debit card from her Canton home on July 16 and using it for a total of $284.98, state police said. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
Assault charge: Chance William Howell, 22, of 712 Monongahela Ave., is being charged with indecent assault of a child among other charges after Charleroi police said he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl over a six-month period since January. According to the criminal complaint, Howell also had sex with the child’s mother while she was present. Howell is in Washington County jail on $25,000 straight bond and also faces charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.
Account accessed: Kiley Szupinka of Fourth Street told Chartiers police Wednesday her credit union debit card information was accessed and used to make a $747 withdrawal at an automated teller machine.
Motorcyclist injured: Robert Silvers, 59, of Prosperity, was injured Tuesday afternoon when he crashed his motorcycle into a vehicle driven by William Koeppelle, 51, of Washington, on South Main Street Extension near Craft Road, North Franklin. State police said Silvers was headed south and going around a curve when he crossed the center line and struck Koeppelle’s northbound vehicle. Koeppelle told police he tried to stop. Silvers, who was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment, will be cited with failure to stay in his lane.
Lounge cited: The operators of Hollow Lounge in Speers were cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly failing to clean the malt or brewed beverage dispensing system at least once every seven days between April 7 and June 17.
Medication stolen: Margaret Groffi of 154 N. College St. told Washington police Wednesday 30 prescription pills were stolen from her residence.
Hair equipment stolen: Karen Winter of 173 Church St. told Washington police early Thursday two bags of permanent rods and hair-highlighting equipment were stolen from her apartment.
