First responders administer Narcan to man at Circle K
Paramedics from Washington Ambulance & Chair administered Narcan to a man who suffered from a suspected drug overdose in the Circle K store on West Chestnut Street in Washington shortly after 5 p.m. Friday.
City police said the man experienced slurred speech and other symptoms before he collapsed.
Paramedics used Narcan – an overdose reversal medication that counters the effects of opioids, most commonly heroin, during an overdose – to revive the man, who was not identified.
He was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital for treatment.
