PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh officials said there were far fewer arrests – and far less trash left behind – after Kenny Chesney’s Saturday concert at Heinz Field than at a 2013 show that drew national headlines for disorderly behavior.

The parking lots at Heinz Field opened only four hours before Saturday’s concert, which began at 5 p.m., in hopes of limiting drunkenness and other problems due to tailgating. Lots opened at 9 a.m. in 2013.

Ten people were arrested and 25 people were cited – 17 for underage drinking – compared to 73 arrests at the 2013 show, at which patrons left behind more than 30 tons of trash.

Police said officers used a stun gun to subdue a man who threw a chair at police before the show, but there were no serious incidents or injuries reported.
