Bowlby Public Library preparing for ‘Keep Me Safe from Fire’ series

Bowlby Public Library will hold its sixth annual Keep Me Safe series this month.

The series begins with the “Keep Me Safe from Fire” presentation this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon with demonstrations from Center Township firefighters and a tour by the Waynesburg-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department on a fire truck.

The “Keep Me Safe in Emergencies” will be held June 13 from 10 a.m. to noon with American Red Cross volunteers who will teach kids and adults how to “Be Red Cross Ready” for emergencies and disasters through interactive programs.

The series will wrap-up with “Keep Me Protected from Strangers and Bullies” on June 20 from 10 a.m. to noon. Instructors from John Beluschak’s American Judo-Hapkido Institute will provide interactive demonstrations designed to teach kids and adults how to respond to keep themselves safe in a variety of situations.
