California man charged with raping teen

A California man was charged with rape of a teenage girl Thursday.
Borough police charged David L. Armstrong, 53, of 37 Pennsylvania Ave., following an extensive investigation of an assault allegation.
The 15-year-old told police Armstrong sexually assaulted her Jan. 20 when she visited his home.
Police charged Armstrong with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children and indecent assault.
Additional charges, including rape of a child, are pending after the investigation of the January incident revealed Armstrong allegedly sexually assaulted another girl between the ages of 8 and 10 in his home.
