A rear door was forced open to gain entry to the building. Anyone with information is asked to call Waynesburg police at 724-627-8113.

Theft: Brian L. Medlen, 32, of 3 Whitehall St., Marianna, was charged with theft Monday by Waynesburg police after a handheld barcode scanner worth $513 was stolen from Pecjak’s Sunoco at 10 E. Greene St., Waynesburg, April 27. Police said Medlen returned the scanner April 30. The theft charge was sent through a summons from the office of District Judge Louis Dayich.

False ID: Jonathan G. Snyder, 30, of 260 W. High St., Waynesburg, was charged with false identification to police, misleading a public servant and driving without a license after Waynesburg police said he used his brother’s identity during an April 27 traffic stop in the borough. Police said the traffic citation from that stop led to his brother’s license being suspended mistakenly. Charges were filed Monday against Jonathan Snyder through District Judge Louis Dayich’s office.
