A Chartiers Township man may have had a medical issue before crashing his sport utility vehicle into a house at 665 Allison Hollow Road at 11:24 a.m. Thursday, Chartiers police said.

John Wagner, 63, was driving west on Allison Hollow when his vehicle went off the road, went over a small curb and crashed into the house owned by Robert McDonald.

Two tenants living in the house, Glen Garber and Laura Willhoft, were on the second floor when the vehicle crashed into the residence. Police said they were not hurt but will not be able to stay in the residence because of damage. Wagner was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Allison Hollow had to be closed while the wrecked vehicle was removed from the house.

Chartiers firefighters and Canonsburg Ambulance personnel assisted.
