Theft, receiving charge: David J. Lewis, 26, of 295 Moon Road, Washington, was charged last week by East Washington police with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a Nintendo game system and game from 16 S. Wade Ave. May 27. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Burglary, trespass arrest: Jack A. Seabright, 28, of 219 North Ave., East Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and public drunkenness after he allegedly went into a home on North Avenue May 31 and got into bed with a woman who was sleeping. When the woman woke up and found Seabright, she told her husband, who had fallen asleep on the couch. East Washington police said Seabright told them he was intoxicated after attending the Kenny Chesney concert and went into the wrong house. Weller set bond at $500 on Seabright, who was in Washington County jail on a probation detainer.
Charges filed: William A. Lane, 41, of 63 S. Wade Ave., East Washington, was charged last week by East Washington police with theft, receiving stolen property and corruption of minors after he allegedly took a pickup truck owned by Patricia Dimmack without permission May 31. He had two boys in the truck with him when stopped by police. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
DUI, paraphernalia charges: Michael B. Willis, 22, of Bridgeport, W.Va., was charged last week by state police with possession of paraphernalia and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs stemming from a May 17 incident when he stopped his vehicle in the left lane of Interstate 79 northbound near the Canonsburg exit, North Strabane. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Tarah Ann Lowery, 32, of Pittsburgh, was charged Tuesday with theft by North Strabane police after she allegedly stole $60 from McDonald’s, 235 Meadow Lands Boulevard, in a quick-change scam Jan. 17. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Suspected cocaine found: Billy Holland of Burgettstown faces drug charges after state police said they found seven packages of suspected cocaine that appeared to be packaged for resale during a traffic stop Tuesday on Joffre-Bulger Road in Smith Township. Charges are pending the outcome of lab analysis.
Clothing stolen: South Strabane police said a man came into the H&M store at Tanger Outlets Tuesday, put multiple dresses under his coat and fled. The registration on the vehicle he was driving came back to a McKees Rocks business.
Equipment stolen: Michael J. Plaisance of Cutoff, La., told South Strabane police Monday welding equipment was stolen from the back of his pickup truck while it was parked at Motel 6 on Motel 6 Drive.
Theft charge: David Lee Waychoff, 36, of 442 Dusty Trail, Claysville, was charged last week by South Strabane police with theft after he allegedly stole 1,200 pounds of metal from a Golden Triangle construction site at the Murtland Avenue interchange May 16. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Drug, DUI charges: Bryan M. Teagarden, 24, of 28 Cumberland Village, Carmichaels, was charged last week by state police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia and traffic violations stemming from an April 27 traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound in South Strabane. Police said he had Suboxone. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
DUI charge: Richard A. Yeager, 21, of 110 Municipal Road, Carmichaels, was charged last week by state police with possession of paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and speeding after he was stopped April 30 in the construction zone near the north junction of Interstates 70 and 79 in South Strabane. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in crash: Quinn T. Campbell, 35, of Benwood, W.Va., was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to render aid, having an open container of beer and several traffic violations stemming from a Nov. 5 crash on Interstate 70 at the Beau Street interchange. He is accused of hitting a vehicle stopped at the stop sign waiting to get on the highway and then leaving the scene. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in road rage: Victor A. Benton, 26, of 65 Hallam Ave., Meadow Lands, was charged last week by South Strabane police with reckless endangerment, harassment and criminal mischief stemming from a May 19 road rage incident on Washington Road at Davis School Road. He is accused of getting out of a vehicle and beating on the windows of a vehicle occupied by two women. A mirror on their vehicle was damaged. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Window broken: Ozell Macklin of 440 Broad St. told Washington police Tuesday vandals broke a kitchen window at his home.
Paraphernalia charge: Judd C. Ferguson, 42, of Washington, faces a drug paraphernalia charge after Washington police said they found him slumped over the console of his pickup truck in the 400 block of Shirls Avenue. Police said he had a needle in his hand and empty stamp bags in the truck. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Items stolen: Daniel Santiago of 69 W. Hallam Ave. told Washington police Tuesday 20 DVDs, his wallet, cologne and a knife were stolen from his home.
