Interstate crash victims identified

State police identified those involved in three crashes on the interstates in Washington County Wednesday afternoon.

Holly Price, 51, of New Waterford, Ohio, was injured when her motorcycle crashed into a rig operated by Sean Schmull, 42, of Hilliards, Butler County, on Interstate 79 near the Laboratory exit in Amwell Township at 2:55 p.m.

Three minutes later, Daniel P. Johnson, 23, of Mt. Morris, was injured when his car rear-ended and slid under a camper being hauled by a pickup truck and then caught fire.

The driver of the truck, identified as James Alister, 41, of Meadville, had stopped in the right lane to render aid to Price along with his 35-year-old wife, Dr. Lisa Raiber-Alister.

They were not injured nor were their two sons, ages 1 and 5, who were in the truck.

Police said Price was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

She will be cited with following too closely. Johnson was flown to UPMC-Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh. Charges are pending the outcome of the police investigation.

Danny J. Taylor, 46, of Benwood, W.Va., was injured when his motorcycle struck a tractor-trailer driven by Johnny Hall, 53, of Selma, Ala., on Interstate 70 west just east of the West Alexander exit, Donegal Township at 1:30 p.m..

Taylor also was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian for treatment.

A UPMC-Presbyterian representative had no information on Price and Taylor. Calls were not returned for Johnson’s condition.
