South Strabane police charge several with retail theft

South Strabane Township police recently charged several people with retail theft and related charges stemming from incidents at stores in the township.

Kelli Renee Cook, 21, of 197 Castle Road, Washington, and William B. McNary, 31, of 36 Pike St., Meadow Lands, are charged stemming from an April 26 incident. They are accused of stealing items from Walmart, Trinity Point. Cook is also charged with receiving stolen property, possession of paraphernalia and allowing an unlicensed driver to operate her vehicle for allowing McNary to drive. He also is charged with receiving stolen property, paraphernalia possession and driving under suspension.

Jacob Berestecki, 28, of West Newton, is charged with retail theft and flight to avoid apprehension after reportedly running from a Walmart loss prevention officer who tried to detain him May 21.

Ryan S. Wilson, 25, of Masontown, was charged with retail theft stemming from a May 22 theft at Walmart. Andrew J. Rozik, 31, of Belle Vernon, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $220 from Walmart May 21.

Elizabeth J. Cramer, 29, of 50 Vesta Seven St., Brownsville, and Ashley L. Carrier, 31, of 156 Sundust Road, Eighty Four, were charged with retail theft stemming from separate thefts at Kohl’s, Strabane Square, on June 2.

Justin R. Minor, 23, of 789 Banetown Road, Washington, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing a chain saw from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, on May 27.

Jessica Fluharty, 40, of 690 Buena Vista St., Washington, and Jessica Ann Brown, 30, of 341 Grove Ave., Washington, were each charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking $216 in clothing from Kohl’s June 4.

Justin R. Minor, 23, of 789 Banetown Road, Amwell Township, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a chain saw from Murphy Family Lawn, 585 E. National Pike, Tuesday.

Charges against the accused will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
