PITTSBURGH (AP) – Severe thunderstorms in Western Pennsylvania flooded roads, knocked out power and forced the postponement of a Steve Miller concert.
The storms Sunday brought up to two inches of rain and triggered tornado warnings in the Pittsburgh area.
The National Weather Service says social media video showed a funnel cloud northeast of the city, but a twister has not been confirmed and no major damage was reported.
Flooding was reported in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Butler, Beaver and Indiana counties.
More than 17,000 were without power at the height of the storm.
The Steve Miller Band concert at Highmark Stadium was postponed around 9 p.m.
Across town, rain shortened Benjamin Booker’s performance on the final night of the 10-day Three Rivers Arts Festival to just four songs.
