Curfew violation: A girl was cited by Canonsburg police for breaking the curfew ordinance about 1 a.m. Thursday. Police said a resident living near Belmont Avenue and West College Street called to report that four teenagers were surrounding his neighbor’s car and appeared to have entered the vehicle. The owner said nothing appeared to be missing.

Accident: Police responded to a three-vehicle accident with minor injuries at 2450 Pike St. about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jacin Flowers told police his foot slipped off of the brake when he rear-ended a vehicle driven by William Duke, causing Duke to rear-end a third vehicle. Duke and his passenger, Charles Stevens, were taken by ambulance to Canonsburg Hospital.

Suspicious activity: Tina Donley reported to Chartiers police Wednesday that she believes someone is hiding in the woods next to her residence on Short Avenue because she heard noises. She also said her puppy was stolen.

Two charged in fight: James Wright, 20, of Claysville, and a 17-year-old girl were charged by state police in connection with a fight about 1 p.m. Sunday at 16 Dutch Fork Church Road. Police said both had injuries. The girl was cited for harassment. Wright was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned by District Judge Curtis Thompson and jailed on $2,500 bond.

Drug charges: William Stephens, 46, of 352 E. McMurray Road, McMurray, was charged Thursday by township police with possession, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to reports, police searched his home Tuesday night and found four marijuana plants being grown, one dried marijuana plant, one marijuana plant in the process of being dried, several marijuana buds in glass jars, and a large black box used to grow marijuana. Stephens arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Pair arrested: Joshua L. Owens, 35, and Amy S. Owens, 42, both of 59 St. Cloud Extension, Eighty Four, are charged by state police in connection with a disturbance in their residence about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, court records show. He suffered eight superficial stab wounds while she allegedly thrust a kitchen knife at him, and she claimed he pointed a handgun at her and threatened to shoot her, police said. He is charged with simple assault and making terroristic threats and she faces charges of simple assault and aggravated assault. She is free on $25,000 bond and he on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Vehicle fire: South Strabane Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire at 1694 N. Main St. about noon Wednesday. The driver, Wallace Fraley, was uninjured.

Forgery: City police responded to a call of an attempted forgery involving a counterfeit bill at the GetGo on East Wylie Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The man who tried to use the bill could not be located.

Car damaged: Eric McCartney reported to city police that he noticed damage to his vehicle’s windshield while it was parked in the 800 block of Fayette Street Wednesday.

Assault case: Ray M. Clutter, 38, of 800 Rock Hollow Road in West Finley Township, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment, accused of striking Ashley Paith several times in the face in his residence about 10 p.m. June 5, court records show. He is free on $5,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
