One person is in critical condition following Thursday’s crash on Route 519 near Hickory in Mt. Pleasant Township.

The driver was identified by a relative as April Moss of Coraopolis and the passengers as Moss’s uncle, Donnie Higgins, and her grandmother, Charlotte Alderman.

Alderman was taken by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she remains in critical condition. Moss and Higgins were also taken to Allegheny General by ambulance. They were not listed in the patient registry Friday.

The crash closed the road in both directions for about an hour. Mt. Pleasant Township police are investigating but did not return calls for information.
