The state Department of Transportation has announced the tentative work plan for next week for Greene County roads. All maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights, said Jerome Simkovic, Greene County maintenance manager.
• Bridge replacement work will be completed on Route 1023, Jacobs Ferry Road, in Cumberland Township.
• Bridge flushing will be conducted on various state routes throughout the county.
• Patching will be done on Route 21 from the West Virginia line to Route 18, Golden Oaks Road, on Route 18 from Waynesburg to the Washington County line and on Route 19 in Franklin Township to south of Waynesburg.
• Base Repair work will be conducted on Route 188 from Waynesburg to Dry Tavern.
• Slide repairs will be made on Route 3007, Whitethorn Run Road, in Richhill Township and on Route 3020, Bristoria Road, in Center Twp.
• State roads will be inspected and signs will be updated, downed signs replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
