WAYNESBURG – Cameron International Corp., a Houston, Texas-based company that provides products and services to the oil and natural gas industries, will construct a new warehouse and office building in EverGreene Technology Park.

Plans for the development were approved with conditions Monday by the Franklin Township supervisors.

The plans call for the construction of a 5,530-square-foot office building and a 33,565-square-foot warehouse on 10.2 acres of land at EverGreene, which adjoins the Greene County Airport.

The company purchased the property from Greene County Industrial Development Inc. in April 2014 for $768,150.

A company spokesman could not be reached Monday for comment.

Cameron is not new to the county. It has been leasing space in a building at Paisley Industrial Park in Cumberland Township for several years, said Don Chappel, executive director of Greene County Industrial Development Inc., which owns both the EverGreene and Paisley business parks.

Six buildings have been constructed at the 248-acre EverGreene Technology Park and Cameron’s will be the seventh, Chappel said.

The site plans were reviewed and approved with conditions by the township planning commission June 15. The supervisors approved the plans with nine conditions Monday.

Cameron, among other things, must receive approval of a sewage facilities planning module from the state Department of Environmental Protection, a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit and an erosion and sedimentation control plan from the county.

In other business, the supervisors approved the closing of an unnamed alley in Morrisville. The alley is 170 feet long and is between Stewart and Flower streets, said Steve Coss, township code officer.

Residents of the area petitioned the supervisors to have the alley closed. The closing was advertised and all adjoining property owners notified by certified letters. No one objected to the alley being closed, Coss said.
