Alleged assault: Canonsburg police went to Canonsburg Hospital at 4 a.m. Monday to speak with Jodi Damerow, who allegedly was assaulted at the Sons of Italy Club earlier that night. The woman’s boyfriend told police another woman grabbed her and threw her to the ground. Charges have not been filed.
Criminal mischief: Police took a report of a portable toiler that was tipped over at Canonsburg Memorial Stadium overnight Saturday.
Fraud: Police responded to a report of a counterfeit $5 bill being used at the Shop ‘n Save on West Pike Street Sunday.
Theft: Richard Slater reported to police that a saw, valued at more than $1,500, was stolen from his porch in the 300 block of South Central Avenue Saturday.
Suspicious activity: A resident called police to report seeing a man walking up and down Peach Alley near Euclid Avenue about 3 p.m. Saturday who appeared to be “casing the area.” Two other men were seen nearby. Police were unable to locate the men.
Accident: Minor injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash on Morganza Road at 10:45 a.m. Saturday. James Dunn of Washington reportedly rear-ended a vehicle driven by Alexis Dates of Washington, causing her to rear-end a vehicle driven by Todd Deblasio of Prosperity. Dunn was taken by ambulance to Canonsburg Hospital. Dates’ 10-year-old son complained of back pain, and he was treated at the scene by first responders.
Theft: Russell Robson reported to police that his cellphone was stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight Saturday while the car was parked in the 300 block of Summit Avenue. His girlfriend’s unlocked vehicle also was entered, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Drug arrest: Lloyd Fred Balmer, 23, of 107 Luella Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with possession with intent to deliver, possession and criminal use of a cellphone over accusations he agreed to sell an undercover officer 20 stamp bags of heroin for $160 at Woodland Park about 2:40 a.m. Monday, court records show. Police said they also found a rock of crack in his bedroom. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Drug charges: Andrew Marcus Parish, 36, who reportedly is homeless, was charged by Chartiers police with possession of drugs and paraphernalia for allegedly having 23 packets of heroin and four syringes in his vehicle while it was parked at Fourth Street and Leonard Avenue on May 15. He was arraigned by District Judge David Mark and taken to Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Theft: Charles McMasters reported to police that a lawn tractor, valued at $2,200, was stolen from outside his residence in the 1200 block of Henderson Avenue. He noticed it was missing last Tuesday.
Teen cited: A 15-year-old student at Chartiers-Houston High School was cited by police with driving a vehicle without a license. Police said the boy attempted to move a friend’s vehicle and crashed into a stop sign and tree. A girl was cited for permitting him to drive the vehicle.
Woman assaulted: Cyler A. Walters, 24, of 296 Hastings Road, Fredericktown, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment, accused of striking Ashley Pinkney in the eye Saturday at 7 Hedge Road, court records show. He is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Theft: A Dollar General employee reported to police a man with no shirt on was seen on surveillance camera stealing 10 newspapers that had been dropped off at the business Thursday morning.
Naked man reported: McDonald police assisted North Fayette police while responding to a call about a naked man running across Robinson Highway Saturday at 12:45 p.m. Police were unable to locate the man.
Tampering at park: McDonald Mayor Terry Bennett called police to report the straps holding tables together at Heritage Park were tampered with overnight Sunday. It was unknown if anything was stolen or damaged.
Woman assaulted: Donald M. Young, 52, of 33 Jones Lane, Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault and harassment, court records show. He is accused of pulling Sonya Porter’s hair and striking and dragging her with his pickup truck while she was attempting to retrieve a bed from the vehicle about 1 a.m. Saturday at 813 E. Main St. Young is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Theft: Police responded to a report of a theft of deposits at Long John Silvers Saturday. Police said more than $700 was removed from the register over a period of two days. Charges are pending.
Theft: Brian Campbell reported to police that a generator and tools, valued at $1,500, were stolen from a work van parked in the 100 block of Milbeck Drive Thursday.
Theft: Megan Ward reported to police last Tuesday a bicycle valued at $100 was stolen from a yard in the 400 block of North McDonald Street.
Assault case: Shawn Ian Bistarkey, 36, of 41 Hudson Ave., Slovan, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment, accused of striking and biting Alyssa Fulmer about 7 p.m. Saturday, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson, as well as for a probation violation.
Burglary charge: Joseph C. Sanpietro, 38, of West Brownsville, and Britny Shandor, 25, of Washington, were charged by South Strabane police with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief for allegedly stealing electronics valued at more than $2,000 from an apartment occupied by Joseph Bails in the 1000 block of East Beau Street on April 10. Shandor also was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary. Police said they reportedly sold the items for drug money. They were arraigned by District Judge Jay Weller, and Sanpietro was taken to Washington County jail on $30,000 bond.
Disturbance reported: Kristen Hill reported to police that a man in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up to her apartment in the 6100 block of Pebble Creek Road at 11:30 a.m. Friday and spoke to her incoherently. He then drove away. Police checked the area but could not locate the man.
Theft reported: Chris Tatterson reported to police that his tailgate was stolen while his vehicle was parked at Tanger Outlets between 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Man jailed: Hector R. Rosas, 29, of 244 Castle Road, Chartiers, is being held without bond in Washington County jail awaiting extradition to Alachua County, Florida, to appear in court on motor vehicle violations, court records show. Township police apprehended him on a warrant about 3:15 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Point.
Trespassing case: Job Hill, 31, of 808 Somerset St., Monessen, is charged by township police with receiving stolen property and trespassing, court records show. Police said they found him hiding in a crawl space at 19 North Avenue after a neighbor complained that he parked a vehicle in his yard about 10:45 p.m. Friday. The vehicle was stolen in West Virginia. Hill is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Burglary report: Denny Miller told city police a black man wearing black clothing ran out of 475 Broad St. when he went to investigate why a window was open about 11 p.m. Saturday at the house he was watching for its owner, Nikki Oliver. Police said the residence was found ransacked and it was not immediately known if anything had been stolen.
