U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., introduced a bill that would establish clean vehicle corridors along interstate highways.

The Clean Vehicle Corridors Act would create infrastructure to refuel clean vehicles, including the development of clean fueling stations, rest stops and travel plazas. The bill also would allow states to modify lane restrictions to accommodate clean vehicles and to create designated clean vehicle parking spaces.

“Investing in clean energy helps the environment and boosts the economy,” Casey said. “Pennsylvania has been at the forefront of clean energy development, and this legislation can help our state and the nation take the next step forward.”
