Woman assaulted: Gregory P. Hutchinson, 49, of 638 Alpine Drive, Canonsburg, is charged by borough police with simple assault and harassment, accused of grabbing and throwing Tia Morgan on a coffee table, injuring her eye about 11:20 p.m. Monday, court records show. He is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Burglary arrest: Nicholas J. Marinelli, 32, of 631 Vanadium Road, Bridgeville, is charged by township police with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse him of stealing $2,000 in jewelry from a residence on Crackerjack Road about 1:30 p.m. March 13, 2014. He also is accused of causing $1,000 in damage to the residence. Marinelli is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Assault arrest: Stanley A. Morris, 26, of 502 Seventh St., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Morris of striking his roommate, Victor Mikush, in the head several times about 6 p.m. Monday in their residence. He is also accused of possessing empty heroin stamp bags. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Driver charged: A West Finley Township man was arrested Monday on a charge of aggravated assault by motor vehicle while driving under the influence of alcohol. Donegal Township police also charged Brandon L. Fischer, 26, of Beham Ridge Road, with driving under the influence of alcohol during the March 31 accident that seriously injured another motorist on East Finley Drive, court records show. Police accused Fischer of causing a head-on collision about 11 p.m. that trapped Kevin Stewart in his car. Fischer allegedly had a blood-alcohol content of 0.079 at the time of the crash, police stated in court records. He was sent to Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Dog stolen: A Pomeranian wearing a Harley-Davidson collar and answering to the name “Foxsay” was stolen during a break-in between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday at a home at 391 Twin Bridges Road, state police said.
Driver charged: Justin Godard, 34, of Brookwood Road, Venetia, was charged with DUI after police found him unconscious in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, which was facing oncoming traffic at the intersection of East McMurray and Thompsonville Roads on Saturday, Peters police said.
Warrant arrest: Kelly Denarrius Smith, 44, of Willow Street, Bethel Park, was arrested on an oustanding warrant Sunday after a traffic stop in the 500 block of Bebout Road in Venetia, Peters police said. When they checked her identity, they discovered Smith had an outstanding warrant from West Mifflin. Police did not indicate where she was taken.
Items stolen: George Girdich told township police two laptop computers were stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at Motel 6 between Saturday evening and Monday morning, police said.
Burglary report: State police said a 9mm handgun was stolen in a burglary between 5:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. Monday from a residence on Evergreen Road in Daisytown.
