Action: The board approved an agreement with Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging Inc. to provide services to those who are 60 years old and older through June 30, 2016, at a sum not to exceed $1,999,692. A match of $324,650 in county taxpayer funds is required.
At the request of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Department, the commissioners approved an agreement for a maximum cost of $6,300 with Medical Decision Logic Inc. to provide the Behavioral Health Works program through June 30, 2016.
At the request of court administration, the center for Hearing and Deaf Services, Pittsburgh, will provide interpretation for the deaf through June 30, 2016, at a cost of $60 per hour for state-registered interpreters and $50 per hour for those without state registration. The service is to be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
It was announced that county offices will be closed July 3 in advance of Independence Day.
Travel: The commissioners approved travel for a Children and Youth Services contracted employee, Fay Boland, to attend the Pennsylvania Children and Youth Administrators spring meeting in Lancaster at a cost of approximately $325.
