Woman jailed: Rebecca S. Woy, 33, of 1211 Chess St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, court records state. She is accused of striking William Chepanoske several times in the face about 1:40 a.m. Friday in her residence. She is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Two-vehicle crash: Jason Patrick of Derry and Tyrone Betters of Connellsville were taken to Canonsburg Hospital with minor injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash near 1294 Route 519 at 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Both were passengers. The two drivers and other passengers were uninjured.

Retail theft: South Strabane police responded to a report of a retail theft at Kohl’s at 7 p.m. Thursday. A woman reportedly stole more than $950 worth of merchandise and left in an orange Chevrolet Cavalier driven by an unknown man.
