Escape charge: State police charged Phillip H. Stanger, 29, of Clarksville, with escape and flight to avoid apprehension after he ran from troopers June 23 when they tried to arrest him at his A Street home on a separate warrant. Police said Stanger eluded capture when he jumped over a porch railing and ran into a densely wooded area. Charges were filed Monday through District Judge Glenn Bates’ office.

Noise complaint: Jesse W. Watson, 43, of 284 E. Greene St., Waynesburg, was charged with disorderly conduct after borough police said he refused to turn down loud music playing inside his apartment when asked by officers early Monday morning.
