An Ohio man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday on Interstate 70 in Buffalo Township.

Ryan Frank Rungo, 28, of Brilliant, Ohio, was driving west on the highway at 4:15 a.m. when his vehicle spun out of control and crashed into a median near the Taylorstown exit, according to state police. The vehicle flipped onto its side, and Rungo was trapped inside the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Washington County coroner Tim Warco.

Warco said weather and road conditions may have been a factor in the crash. Three passengers inside the vehicle were uninjured. State police are investigating the cause. Canonsburg EMS and fire departments from Claysville and North Franklin assisted at the scene.
