State police obtained an arrest warrant for a former Bentleyville woman and are also looking for two men in connection with the assault and attempted robbery of her former boyfriend inside her apartment last month.
State police charged Jennifer Barber, 33, with two counts of robbery and one count each of simple assault and harassment and obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday from District Judge Curtis Thompson in connection with the assault and attempted robbery of her former boyfriend, Jamie Dicharo.
Trooper Joseph Timms, who filed the charges, said Dicharo went to Barber’s residence at Bentleyville Apartments, 504 Old West Road, about 5:15 p.m. Feb. 18. Dicharo had been staying with Barber, the trooper added.
When Dicharo got there, Barber was there with the other two men. Dicharo was reportedly assaulted and the three allegedly tried to steal money from him. Dicharo fled and contacted police. He refused treatment for his injuries, Timms said. When police went to the apartment, Barber and the men were gone. She is no longer at the apartment.
Barber, who also lists an East Millsboro address, is white, about 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds with brownish-blond hair and light-colored eyes. Timms said Dicharo was only able to provide a vague description of the two men. Both are black and about 6 feet tall. One is thin with a dark complexion. The other is heavier with short hair.
Anyone with information on Barber’s whereabouts or who has information on the other two assailants is asked to call Timms at the Belle Vernon station at 724-929-6262.
