Indecent assault charge: Corey Lamonte Anderson, 33, of 503 Bluff St., Canonsburg, was charged Friday by Canonsburg police with indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old girl Jan. 4. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Drug charges: Trevor A. Wolfe, 24, of 172 Prigg Road, Canton, will be charged by state police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after police said he was found with the items Sunday.

Burglary: A burglary was reported Friday at a home owned by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission at 3852 Morganza Road, Cecil police said. Items stolen from the house included countertops, ceramic tile and cabinet doors. The incident remains under investigation.

Road rage: Charges are pending against a Greensburg man accused of pointing a pistol at a West Finley woman as she drove on Interstate 70 near the Lover interchange in Fallowfield Township Friday, state police said.

Heater, kerosene stolen: State police said a torpedo heater and two containers of kerosene were stolen Friday from a house under construction on Hanlin Station Road in Jefferson Township. Workers reported seeing a silver, older-model Chevrolet pickup truck at the site. They said two white men, one wearing a blue shirt and the other a red shirt, got in the truck and left the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.

Assault arrest: Hilary Ann Price, 24, of 404 Second St., Monongahela, was arrested Saturday afternoon by Monongahela police on charges of simple assault and harassment. She is accused of punching Kevin Opat at their home. She was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Two injured: Melissa Baldwin, 25, of Belle Vernon, and her passenger, Cassandra Spalding, 24, of Washington, were injured when Baldwin’s vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire about 3 a.m. Saturday at Main Street (Route 50) and Westland Road (Route 519), Mt. Pleasant police said. The occupants were able to get out of the vehicle. Police used an extinguisher until firefighters arrived. Baldwin was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Spalding was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said they are awaiting toxicology test results before filing charges against Baldwin.

Retail theft charge: Craig E. Golden 35, of Dunbar, was arrested Sunday by North Franklin police after he allegedly stole items valued at $332.95 from Gander Mountain, Washington Crown Center. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on a charge of retail theft and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Warrant obtained: North Strabane police have obtained an arrest warrant for Maurice E. Scott, 36, of 500 W. Chestnut St., Washington, from District Judge David Mark. He is accused of pistol-whipping Vanessa McDermott, 21, of Claysville, as they drove on Route 19 north of Racetrack Road Friday afternoon. Scott is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. McDermott went to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Marijuana, paraphernalia charges: Robert B. Scarf Jr., 18, of 336 Valley St., McDonald, was charged by McDonald police with possession of paraphernalia and marijuana stemming from a traffic stop Saturday night in the 600 block of Valley Street, Robinson. A 17-year-old McDonald girl in the vehicle was charged with underage drinking. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.

Accidental shooting: Wade A. Carpenter, 54, was taken to Washington Hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the hand while working at Ace Sporting Goods, Washington Road, about 3:20 p.m. Friday, South Strabane police said. Carpenter told police he was showing a customer his personal 9 mm Ruger when he believes the trigger caught on his clothing, causing the gun to discharge. Police said the left side of his hand was grazed.

Driver charged: Bryan Whitlach, 56, of Scottsdale, will be charged with having faulty equipment after the driver’s-side wheels of his rig broke off as he drove through the Interstate 70 construction zone, South Strabane, Saturday afternoon. The wheels bounced into the median, and one went into the westbound lane, hitting another rig, state police said.

Assault charge: Brandon Kennard Creighton, 38, of Wheeling, W.Va., was arrested by state police on charges of possession of a controlled substance, harassment and simple assault. He is accused of choking Demitria Monchelle Goodwin, 27, as she drove on Interstate 79 southbound near the north junction with Interstate 70, South Strabane, Sunday afternoon. Police said they found him with synthetic marijuana. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Assault, theft arrest: Kristen L. Demis, 27, of 310 Annuity Drive, South Franklin Township, was arrested Friday by South Strabane police on charges of possession of paraphernalia, retail theft, simple assault and harassment. She is accused of putting items valued at $209.75 in her purse while at Sam’s Club, Trinity Point. Demis then allegedly fought with a loss-prevention officer, digging her nails into him as he attempted to detain her, police said. She was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Money stolen: Members of the Library Sportsman Association, 6312 Route 88, Union, told Southwest Regional police Saturday $1,713 was stolen from a locked cash box inside the pistol range. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Identity theft: Breanne Nicole Gilliam, Tuscany Estates, Union, told Southwest Regional police that her personal information was used to file a tax return. Her mother filed a return on her behalf, only to get a rejection letter March 4 from the Internal Revenue Service.

Account accessed: Michael Hegarty of Route 88, Union, told Southwest Regional police Friday his bank account had been accessed. Money was withdrawn, and checks were forged.

Delivery stolen: Diane M. Kacsuta of Cherry Avenue, Union, told Southwest Regional police March 3 that packages delivered by mail to her home were stolen. She told police there were three boxes containing shoes and one containing cigars. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Dirt bike stolen: Dennis Amon of 1260 Wilna St. told Washington police Monday that his son’s Kawasaki dirt bike was stolen from his garage. Police said it appears the thief pushed it through yards to New York Street.

Moon roof damaged: Ashley McNinch of 238 Burton Ave. told Washington police Monday the moon roof of her vehicle was damaged by vandals.

Purse stolen: Debbie Durbin of Claysville told Washington police Sunday her purse containing identification and credit cards was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at Christ Church of North America, 605 Shirls Ave.

Counterfeit money: An employee of 7-Eleven, 375 W. Chestnut St., told Washington police Sunday that a counterfeit $100 bill was passed at the store by a woman purchasing a pack of cigarettes.

Charged in jump: Troy Patterson, 41, of 1364 Deerfield Road, South Franklin Township, will be charged by Washington police with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after police say he jumped from the railroad bridge between College and Main streets early Sunday. Police received a report of a man threatening to jump. When they arrived, they saw him on the bridge and then saw him jump. City firefighters had to use a special basket to rescue him from the area below the bridge, and police say he struggled with paramedics as they tried to help him.

Window broken: Jamey S. Johnson of 782 ½ Broad St. told Washington police Sunday that vandals broke the rear window of her vehicle.
