Chartiers Township firefighters and the township police department were called about 10:45 p.m. Saturday to a bed on fire in a third-floor apartment occupied by Barbara Hahn at 585 Pike St. in Meadow Lands.

The fire was contained to the apartment. No injuries were reported. A dog was rescued, police said.
