Drug, disorderly charges: Diquan Griffith, 20, of Philadelphia, and Christopher A. Sawyer, 22, of Pittsburgh, will be charged by California police with possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct after they allegedly were caught using marijuana. Police checked their residence at 415 Third St. after receiving calls that there was a strong odor coming from the apartment.

Items stolen: Nathan Moore of Houston told state police early Tuesday that three dark blue fire-resistant coats, a fire-resistant cap and brown Carhart coat were stolen from his pickup truck while it was parked at the Jessop Place Park ‘n Ride, Green Street, Canton. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-223-5200.

Drug charges: Tabitha Bakos, 26, of 964 Park St., California, and William Matsko, 27, of 244 Temperance Way, California, face charges of possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop Saturday in a parking lot on Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi Regional police said. Police found suspected Suboxone, three empty syringes and an empty stamp bag that police suspect contained heroin. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Drug arrest: Airren D. Jackson, 30, of Clairton, is charged by city police with possessing small amounts of marijuana and crack stemming from a traffic stop about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at West Main and Ninth streets, court records show. He is free on $10,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Building hit: Richard Tustin, 70, of Hickory, crashed into a building at 98 Main St. (Route 50), Hickory, about 4 p.m. Monday. The building was vacant at the time, but the doors and block walls were damaged, Mt. Pleasant police said. The building owner told police there was about $10,000 in damage. A witness told police that Tustin appeared to turn straight into the building. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol, police said. Tustin refused treatment at the hospital.

Drug arrest: Gregory L. Ivory, 21, of 312 Union St., Monongahela, is charged by Monongahela police with possession of seven stamp bags of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 2:45 p.m. Jan. 10 in the 400 block of West Main Street, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Wallet stolen: Tammy L. Noble of Washington told North Strabane police Monday her wallet containing $260 was stolen from her room at The Greenery, 2200 Hill Church-Houston Road, late Friday or early Saturday. The wallet was a brown, zippered coin purse with the letter “C” on the sides. It also contained her driver’s license and Social Security card.

Theft from shed: George Loutsion of 1447 Route 136 told North Strabane police Monday a chain saw and two weed trimmers were stolen from a shed on his property.

Criminal mischief: A living room window and a second-floor side bathroom window belonging to a home in the 100 block of Farmview Place, Venetia, were reported broken Monday. Police found rocks underneath both windows and the incident remains under investigation.

Drug charge: Melvin Terrell, 55, of 30 Gibson Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with possession of marijuana after police say he was seen on surveillance video dropping a bag of the suspected drug on the floor of Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., Monday afternoon. Police were called after store personnel found the bag on the floor near customer service.

Car vandalized: Mia Johnson of 152 Hall Ave. told Washington police Monday that sugar was placed in the gasoline tank of her car while it was parked behind her home.
