State police release I-70 enforcement figures

State police have released figures on last week’s enforcement efforts in the Murtland Avenue construction zone on Interstate 70 in South Strabane Township.
Police issued 24 citations and gave four written warnings to drivers. They investigated nine crashes and assisted 17 motorists with disabled vehicles.
Police remind drivers that most fines in construction areas are doubled. The speed limit in the construction zone from near the Jefferson Avenue interchange to just east of the Beau Street interchange is 45 mph.
