BENSALEM (AP) – Police say a man left his 7-year-old son alone in a car and screaming for “Daddy” while he played blackjack at a suburban Philadelphia casino.

Bryan Bolds was arrested at Parx Casino in Bensalem around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after a passer-by alerted police to the crying boy.

Police say the 32-year-old Philadelphia man had been gambling for about three hours. The boy was alone for about 45 minutes before police arrived.

Bolds is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He’s jailed in lieu of $7,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 18.

Online court records didn’t list a lawyer to comment on the charges.

Police say Bolds told them he felt like an idiot and was sorry. They say the boy was shaken up.
