Pallet of ham falls on worker at suburban Philadelphia plant

HATFIELD (AP) – A worker is hospitalized after officials say a pallet of ham fell on his head at a suburban Philadelphia meat processing plant.

Officials say the 30-year-old worker was struck around 5:44 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatfield Quality Meats plant in Hatfield.

He was taken by helicopter to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. His condition was not immediately available.

The incident is under investigation.
