PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police say a disabled man believed to be missing after hospital surveillance video lost track of him has been found safe at a friend’s home.

Police began looking for 56-year-old David Soldati after he failed to return home from a visit to West Penn Hospital on Tuesday morning.

Soldati is partially paralyzed, has epilepsy and always uses a wheelchair. He also has a feeding tube and wasn’t believed to have had his medication with him when he was last seen outside the hospital.

A transportation service was supposed to pick up Soldati about 10 a.m. and he could be seen leaving the hospital but never entering the van for his ride home.

Police say Soldati was found safe Wednesday afternoon and has returned home after being checked again at a hospital.
