Foundation installs new officers
The Community Foundation of Greene County Board of Directors announced the newly installed officers for 2015. They include:
• Dr. Morris Harper, who was installed as chairman, has been a member of the foundation board since 2013. He is executive vice president and chief medical officer for Correctional TeleCare Solutions.
• Kim Grimes was installed as vice chairwoman of the board. Grimes, a member of the CFGC Board since 2014, is a business banker with PNC Bank and serves the Waynesburg and Carmichaels markets.
• Thelma Szarel, who was installed as secretary, has served on the foundation board since 2013. She is superintendent of West Greene School District
• Thomas G. Milinovich, certified public accountant with Milinovich & Co. Inc., was reinstalled as treasurer. Milinovich has served on the CFGC board of directors since 2001.
• Linda Corfont, certified public accountant, has been a member of the board since 2014 and was installed as assistant treasurer. She is self-employed as a certified public accountant.
Additionally, four new directors joined the board for three-year terms. The new directors are: Keith Herrington, Jeff McCracken, Courtney Schroyer and Margaret Truntich. Jessica Kearns returned to the board for a second three-year term.
Other members of the board are Mark Carlson, Kathy Saesan, Dolly Throckmorton, the Rev. Donald Wilson, and Jim Zalar.
The Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to building permanent community capital for Greene County causes and organizations. The community foundation now manages more than 65 funds and projects with more than $4 million in assets. Since 2001, CFGC distributed more than $2 million in grants and scholarships.
