Theft charge: State police arrested Jeffrey John Romano, 25, for allegedly stealing tools and selling them to buy drugs. Police reported between early March 7 and 5:47 p.m. Friday, Romano took three tools from John Joseph Romano, 53, 335 Cortez Drive, pawned them for $120 at Route 19 EZ Cash LLC, and spent the money on heroin. Charges were filed through District Judge David W. Mark.

Drug charges: Patrick Mark Aiello, 25, who is listed as homeless, is in Washington County jail on multiple charges following his arrest about 6 p.m. Friday. Borough police said they found Aiello in possession of 53 stamp bags of heroin, drug paraphernalia and an electronic stun gun despite being banned from having one because of felony drug convictions. He faces seven charges: three drug-related plus a weapons count, criminal use of a communications facility (cellphone), obstruction of justice and driving while his operating privilege was suspended or revoked. Bond was not permitted.

Gun, drug charges: Raymond J. Ingram, 25, of Washington, was charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a firearm without a license. City police said they made a traffic stop about 1:30 a.m. Saturday because Ingram and another passenger matched a description of two individuals who threatened patrons in the 50-Yard Line Sports Pub with a firearm. Police said Ingram reached down between the seat and the door despite being told to keep his hands on the dashboard. Once the occupants were removed from the vehicle, officers saw a suspected heroin stamp bag. With the work of K-9 Officer Golem, police said they found 53 empty stamp bags. Police also found a firearm with an empty shell casing and two bullets. Ingram was placed in Washington County jail.

Reckless driving charge: Clarence Elmer Shrader, 65, listed as homeless, was in Washington County jail following his arrest about 3 a.m. Saturday. City police said Shrader purposely drove his vehicle into one that was occupied on Jefferson Avenue, then fled for several miles on Route 18 before running out of gas. He was apprehended and charged with reckless driving; recklessly endangering another person; accident involving damage to an attended vehicle/property; fleeing an officer; and driving with his operating privilege suspended or revoked. Bond was not permitted.
