Greene County pleaders

WAYNESBURG – Multiple criminal defendants pleaded guilty last week in the Greene County Court of Common Pleas. They included the following:
Star Dawn Lowery, 37, of 13 Valley Lane, Burgettstown; offense – theft by unlawful taking. Lowery was arrested July 2. Police said she moved out of a first floor apartment located at 68 W. Lincoln St. in Waynesburg, taking several items in the move that belonged to Stephen Freedman. Freedman was a tenant in the basement apartment of the building; sentence – 30 days to 23 ½ months in jail to be served on weekends and 125 hours of community service. Lowery is required to pay restitution to Freedman in the amount of $2,800.
Timothy David Cole, 33, of 798 E. Greene St., Waynesburg; offenses – driving under the influence, DUI incapable of safe driving, and one summary traffic violation. Cole was arrested May 24 in Morgan Township after being pulled over for an expired state inspection sticker. His blood-alcohol content was 0.109 percent; sentence – 30 days to six months in jail, 75 hours of community service, and $775 in fines, plus court costs and fees.
Jeremy Stephen Thomas, 23, of 220 South St., Evans City; offenses – DUI second offense, DUI incapable of safe driving, and four summary traffic violations. Thomas was arrested Dec. 1, 2013, after traveling against traffic along Route 21 in Morgan Township; sentencing is pending.
Leah Minor, 40, of 228 S. Pine St., Carmichaels; offenses – DUI second offense, DUI incapable of safe driving, and four summary traffic violations. Minor was arrested May 9, 2013, in Nemacolin. Police said she hit a pole in front of the Carmichaels Beer Distributor three times and then drove south on Route 88. Minor then turned onto Nemacolin Road driving at a high rate of speed. Her BAC was 0.217 percent; sentencing is pending.
Michelle Lisa Tack, 54, of 2351 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria, Va.; offenses – DUI third offense, DUI incapable of safe driving, and one summary traffic violation. Tack was arrested Aug. 13 after making an illegal turn on Route 21 in Franklin Township. Her BAC was 0.159 percent; sentence is pending.
Mark Sokol, 34, of 232 2nd St., New Salem; offenses – fleeing or eluding police, recklessly endangering another person, and 23 summary violations. Sokol was arrested Sept. 28 following a police chase in Cumberland Township after Sokol drove around a vehicle while it was stopped for a red light. Police said he then drove upwards of 100 mph before abandoning his vehicle near his residence; sentence is pending.
Jessica Lynn Robey, 28, of 28 Cumberland Village, Carmichaels; offenses – disorderly conduct and harassment. Robey was arrested Oct. 24 after becoming involved in a physical altercation with Marcie Neal at their shared residence. Robey grabbed Neal by the hair, punched her in the back of the head five times and threw her into a table, according to police; sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail and a $500 fine, plus court costs and fees.
Robert Raymond Tennant, 57, of 436 Stringtown Road, Carmichaels; offenses – DUI, DUI incapable of safe driving and seven summary traffic violations. Tennant was arrested Nov. 7, 2013, on Browns Ferry Road after police pulled him over for crossing the center line multiple times. His BAC was 0.202 percent; sentence – 72 hours to six months in jail, 25 hours of community service, and $1,200 in fines, plus court costs and fees.
