The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold a public open house for the Interstate 70 Bentleyville interchange improvement project on April 2.

The purpose of the meeting is to review the final design, answer questions and discuss construction phasing and timing. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format. PennDOT representatives will be available for discussion and to answer questions. Everyone who is interested in the project is invited to attend anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 900 Main St.

The project includes safety improvements along the I-70 corridor. The project area encompasses two full interchanges and includes widening I-70 to provide a wider median, lengthening ramp lanes, the elimination of two of the Route 917 (Pittsburgh Road) interchange ramps, and secondary roadway improvements.
