Club cited: The operator of Young Men’s Club of Phillipsburg, 1140 Edwards St., California, was cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for permitting gambling Jan. 13.

Ordinance violation alleged: Michael Thomas Clark, 23, of Greensburg, was cited by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance for allegedly hosting a large party Friday night at 633 Hickory St. Police said the noise was disturbing the neighbors, and a large crowd was drinking.

Ordinance, mischief charges: Justin James Taylor, 22, of Julian, Centre County, was charged by California police with criminal mischief and violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance. He allegedly hosted a party at 256 Second St. early Sunday at which objects were thrown from the premises, damaging the property of neighbors.

Retail theft charge: Craig E. Golden, 35, of 20 Barthalow Lane, Dunbar, was charged by North Franklin police with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $332.95 from Gander Mountain, Washington Crown Center, earlier this month. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

One-car accident: Police are investigating a one-car accident that occurred at 2:11 a.m. Tuesday in the westbound lane of East McMurray Road. According to police, a car driven by Brent M. Paladino, 25, of Bebout Road, Venetia, reportedly swerved to avoid a deer. The car went up on an embankment, flipped and ended up on its roof. Paladino and Hobart J. Moore Jr., 23, of Pineview Drive, Peters Township, were taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Police said they detected the odor of alcohol on Paladino, who consented to a blood test. No charges have been filed.

Vehicle used: Toni Dilliard told South Strabane police early Tuesday her car was removed from the parking lot at Thomas Campbell Apartments, driven 18 miles and returned. She told police she has the only key. She discovered the vehicle was taken by checking her dashboard computer, police said.

Money stolen: Dora Morris of Arch Street told Washington police Monday $410 was stolen from her purse while it was in her bedroom.

Vehicle entered: Paula Noble of 974 Arch St. told Washington police Monday keys, vehicle registration and a book were stolen from her vehicle.

Television stolen: Mark Horne of 235 S. College St. told Washington police Monday a 65-inch Sony television was stolen from his home. Horne told police he rented it from Rent-A-Center.
