Route 481 in Carroll to close for bridge replacement

Beginning on April 1, Route 481 in Carroll Township be closed in the area of Van Voorhis Road in order to allow crews to replace the bridge that carries the road over Pigeon Creek.

The bridge closure, which begins at 7 a.m., will be in place until Nov. 17. Along with the bridge closure there will also be a 10-foot lane restriction north of the bridge at the intersection of Van Voorhis Road and Route 481.

A marked detour will be in place using Coyle Curtin Road and Route 88. The project contractor is Frank Gavlik & Sons in Charleroi with a project cost of $1.5 million dollars.
