Water line break results in outage

MT. MORRIS – About 50 customers of the Mt. Morris Water and Sewage Authority were without public water Tuesday morning as the result of a water line break on Big Shannon Run.
The outage affected customers in the Big Shannon Run and Hobbs Run areas, said Charles Nutter, authority office manager.
The outage, which resulted from a break in a 6-inch water line, left customers without service from about 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nutter said. The authority serves about 520 customers.
