Country music will be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at New Freeport fire hall. Plumm Lost and Mark Austin will perform. Admission is $4 a person. The event benefits the fire department’s ladies auxiliary.

All former Jacktown Fair queens are being invited to participate in the 150th celebration this year of the Jacktown Fair. Past queens are invited to attend this year’s pageant, which will be held July 12 in the commercial hall at the Jacktown Fairgrounds, and to participate in this year’s parade July 14, which kicks off the annual fair. Past queens are asked to call Crystal Frye for reservations at 724-428-4055.

Cornerstone Ministry Center will hold a Ladies Tea from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 11 at the center at 381 Willis Road, Jefferson. Those who attend are asked to bring items to fill bags for the local women’s shelter and their own tea cups and saucers. The speaker will be Cynthia Urbanowicz; music will be by Karen Gritzen. Donations are accepted. Those who plan to attend are asked to register by April 3. For information, call 724-966-9157.
