Two performances of The Passion and the Promise, an Easter cantata, will be presented March 29 in Waynesburg. The first will take place at 9 a.m. at Throckmorton United Methodist Church, 152 S. Washington St., and the second at 10:45 a.m. at the Waynesburg First United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Richhill and Franklin streets.

A Science Day will be held April 16 at Waynesburg University for local high school and university students. Participants will experience hands-on activities, demonstrations and lectures in science presented by faculty in the Department of Chemistry and Forensic Sciences at the university and its students.
