PennDOT maintenance schedule for week of May 4

The state Department of Transportation issued the following tentative work plan for Greene County starting Monday. Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Jerry Simkovic, Greene County maintenance manager, urges motorists to drive with caution throughout all work areas.

Crews will be conducting the following activities:

• Abutment wall repairs will be done on state Route 2018 in Whiteley Township.

• Bridge cleaning will continue on various routes in eastern Greene County.

• Pavement patching will be done on Route 21 from the West Virginia line to Route 18 in Washington County line. Also patching on Greene Street in Waynesburg.

• Pavement patching is scheduled for various routes in Carmichaels, Clarksville and the Jefferson areas.

• Slide and washout repairs on Bristoria Road in Jackson and Center townships.

• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

• SCI-Greene will conduct roadside litter pick up operations on I-79. Please drive carefully when encountering this moving operation.
